Treating the Condition

If you or a family member has tinnitus, the first step should be an evaluation at McCool and Bhuta Ear Nose and Throat Specialists located next to Sonology. Our board-certified and licensed Doctor of Audiology, Rachel Lynch, will then work with you to minimize the effects. During her evaluation, she will discuss coping techniques to reduce your perception of these sounds. Also, she will demonstrate tinnitus products that provide sound stimulation to help the brain cope with the noises.

Often times, hearing loss is associated with this condition. Using hearing aids can help you become more socially involved, and they are also effective in reducing the perception of tinnitus. Dr. Lynch will discuss a range of technologies to help you improve your quality of life.
